Inverell Antique Motor Club’s Annual Swap Meet

The Inverell Antique Motor Club’s annual Swap Meet will be held  Sunday the 13th of March at the Inverell Showground. As well as parts for all sorts of vehicles there will be a huge quantity of goods of all descriptions on offer at bargain prices. Gates open at 6am with breakfast and lunch available. Conservatorium Support Group Annual General Meeting

A general meeting of the Conservatorium Support Group- Inverell will be held on Saturday the 19th of March at 2pm at the Inverell Campus, Moore Street. The Meeting will discuss the outcome of discussions with NECOM, the deed of agreement and co-operation between the group and NECOM, arrangements for the running of the Inverell Campus, the result of the concert by Keiko Robertson and future activities. Inverell Cultural Group Annual General Meeting

The Inverell Cultural Group will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday the 30th of March at 5.30pm at the Community Room, Inverell Library. The Annual General Meeting then will be followed by a general meeting to include discussion about the review of the Inverell Shire Council’s cultural plan, a proposed concert at the town hall, the position with Arts North West and the Inverell Shire Council, assistance with grant applications and other issues of interests. Mclean Care Auxiliary

The Mclean Care Auxiliary is a voluntary group of committed local citizens whose aim is to support the welfare of Mclean residents, by the way of the purchase and donation of specialised equipment for the comfort of residents and the provision of a weekly trolley which carries goods and personal items for the convenience of the residents.
New members help in this essential service to assist in fundraising are invited to join the Auxiliary. Being an Auxiliary member is a rewarding experience in knowing this important contribution can make a positive impact on the care and comfort of our aged residents.

Mt Russell Seafood Night!

On Saturday the 2nd of April 2016 there will be a Seafood Night held at the Mt Russell Hall. Be there at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Enjoy prawns, oysters, bugs, crumbed whiting fillets, fresh salads, soups, bread rolls and sweets. Chicken and fresh salads available for non-seafood eaters. Tickets are available at Sapphire City Steel, Ashford Road Inverell.

Inverell Toughen Up Challenge

The Inverell Toughen up Challenge will be held this Saturday the 12th of March at Rugby Park, Come and support the competitors as they complete their 6km run through town. The Junior Toughen up commences at 9am, Senior Toughen up at 12.30pm. There will be pop up stalls as well as food and drinks which will be available to purchase at the event.

After presentation there will be a buffet dinner at the Rugby Clubhouse for $25 Adults and $12.50 for children. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Ben Fox.

 The Obstacool Challenge will be open to the public from 1pm and will be available for 5 to 12 year olds, $5 for 15mins. There will also be a happy half hour from 2pm to 2.30pm for 4year olds to Come and try.

Ashford Salami Festival

Ashford's Second Inaugural Salami Festival will be held at the Ashford Town Oval on the 15th of October!

The goal is too promote Ashford's locally grown & freshly made produce amongst their diverse culture and lift community spirit!

The Festival will provide a number of entertaining activities for all ages. Entry is FREE!!

• Story sharing & displays
• Food stalls of various cuisines
• "The Pigs" Band and other great music & dance
• Noah's Thoroughbred Pig Races
• Local Salami Maker of the Year Award

Glen Innes Cancer Support Group

The Glen Innes Cancer Support Group will meet on Thursday the 13th of August at 10:30am in the sapphire room of the Tattersalls Hotel. Fiona Ord, Oncology social worker with Hunter New England Area Health Service will introduce the new website to assist patients. Fiona will also give an update on advanced care planning. The Inverell Pensioners & Senior Citizens Club meet

The next meeting of the Inverell Pensioners & Senior Citizens Club will be held at 1:30pm in the Senior Citizens rooms at 159 Otho Street on the regular 2nd Thursday of the month on the 13th of August. New members are always welcome. Members may pay Hoi following the meeting. Euchre is held every Saturday at 1:30pm in the Senior Citizens rooms.
